Please allow up to three (3) business days for a reply. Thank you.
What should I expect?
You will be treated with dignity, professionalism, and respect. Discrimination does not have a place here. Makeup by Dion Lorah is a safe space for everyone. I proudly provide makeup services within the alternative communities (BDSM, kink, Leather, LGBTQ+, non-binary, transgendered, etc.). Clients include all ethnicities of all skin tones, those with visible and invisible disabilities, and as well as neurodivergent individuals. You can expect to leave feeling empowered, excited, fierce, and relaxed, as well as, heard, seen, and appreciated.

Will I be asked questions?
Every appointment begins with clarifying your preferred makeup aesthetic, clarifying your known skin allergies, and how you prep your skin for makeup application.
What should I do if I'll be late?
As soon as you know you're going to be late, send a text message. Depending on how close your appointment time is, there may be options available to you.
If you're going to be less than 20 minutes late, services paid for can be reduced to keep you within your session time. For example, if your service included a dramatic look, the look may be simplified. You will still receive quality services.

If you're going to be more than 30 minutes late, you can still choose to reduce services paid for or you can reschedule your appointment. You should reschedule your session within a 60-day period to avoid forfeiture of your retainer. If you need to receive all of the services paid for, you can pay an additional $50 upon arrival to extend your appointment time by 30 minutes. IF, time allows Makeup by Dion Luvs to do so before the next appointment.
What to do if I need to reschedule?
Please request to reschedule a session at least two weeks prior to the appointment time and date. Your appointment should be rescheduled within a 60-day period to avoid forfeiture of your retainer.
Help! I need to cancel on the day of the appointment.
If you cancel the day of the appointment or within two weeks of your appointment, the remaining balance of your service must be paid within three (3) business days.

Is a Contract necessary?
You may be required to sign a Contract. The Contact details the work to be done, as well as pricing, a non-refundable retainer which will be applied to the overall payment, and when final payment is due.
What forms of payment are accepted and is tipping allowed?
Payment methods accepted include CashApp, PayPal, Square, Venmo, and Zelle. Tips are accepted.
Are there any additional fees?
For the most part, appointments are all-inclusive, just like my business. If you have already booked your appointment and signed your contract, any additional fees will be listed in your contract. Otherwise, additional fees are primarily applicable in event venue. If this is your situation, please contact me so I can give you a custom price quote based on your individual needs.

The following fees may or may not be applicable:
_ Necessity for an Assistant (if more than one person is receiving services)
_ Early Morning Rates
_ Day-of Late Fees
_ Federal Holidays
_ Relocation Fees
_ Makeup Trials
_ Travel Fees include, and are not limited, to mileage exceeding 30 miles roundtrip according to Google Maps or MapQuest and parking fees. Mileage fees, if charged will be at a rate of $20* for each additional 30 minutes of drive time.

What makeup brands do you use?
Professional makeup brands in my kit include, and are not limited to, Inglot Cosmetics, MAC Cosmetics, Makeup Forever, Mehron Makeup, Natasha Denona, and Pat McGrath Labs. A list of all brands and products used will be created immediately after your lesson or session upon request. Please allow 48 hours for the list to be emailed to you.

What types of makeup brushes do you use?
I learned the hard way that my face and eyelids are sensitive to natural hair brushes. My face would become itchy and break out and my eyelids would become sensitive to touch and tear excessively, and my skin and lids would become dry and flaky. I only have high-quality synthetic brushes in my kit to avoid any possible adverse reactions or irritation a client may have to natural hair brushes.

Do you use eyeshadow palettes that are called "pressed pigments"?
No. I learned over the years after suffering from eye lid irritation, swollen eyeballs, and sensitive to touch flaking lids that my eyelids have an adverse reaction to pressed pigments used as eyeshadows. In my professional makeup artistry business, I have found that most clients don't know if they have sensitive skin or eyelids. So, to avoid any possible adverse reactions or irritation, I do not use pressed pigments as eyeshadows. All of the eyeshadow palettes I use are actual eyeshadows.

How are the makeup brushes and makeup products kept clean in-between client use?
Mehron Makeup Brush Cleaner is used to clean brushes in-between client usage.

Beauty So Clean Cosmetic Mist or Mehron Cosmetic Sanitizer Spray is used on powder products between client usage.
Cream products are picked up with a spatula and placed on a glass or metal palette and used from there for client application. After the lesson or session is over, the palette is sprayed with the Beauty So Clean Cosmetic Mist or the Mehron Cosmetic Sanitizer Spray.
Disposable tools are used for eye and lip products and are discarded after use.

What are your business hours?
Business hours vary according to travel locations and client needs. Aside from private location appointments, I also travel to event venues, which opens up opportunities for you to receive your makeup services on location which is convenient for themed events.
